Scooby-Doo’s Daphne Blake is a beautiful sexy woman who has a great sense of adventure, but tends to get herself into some sticky situations because of it. Hence her well deserved nickname “Danger-Prone” Daphne. I’ve always loved the “Scooby-Doo Where Are You?” cartoons, but felt they could use an adult makeover. Daphne “Danger Prone” Blake [...]

Remember when you were young and the world was so new? Every little thing was exciting. From a new toy to discovering that your parents had parents (blew my mind). The Journey There’s something magical about being a child. So much that we don’t understand. Some might say somethings are better off not knowing (I’ll [...]

I really enjoy painting. I remember when I was a wee lad the school I went to would allow students to stay after and work on art projects. This was a dream! I was truly like a kid in a candy store (I will not admit to eating any of the art supply though). Beautiful [...]

This time around I wanted to draw a beautiful female, and I could think of no one more beautiful than my wife (double brownie points)! But this was also one of the the greatest challenges because I wanted to get it just right. Fellas pay particular attention to the bottom right of the illustration and [...]

A few days ago I illustrated Bruce Lee to celebrate his 71st birthday. I wanted to give painting the Bruce Lee Illustration a shot so here’s what I came up with! Now I realize that his body, and arms, are missing but this already took a long time to paint and I figured you’d get [...]

One name comes to mind when asked who has had the most influence on martial arts– Bruce Lee. He was the first to suggest that no way was the way. And this was during a time when no one knew what the most dominant fighting style was. To show my gratitude for the influence Bruce [...]

I just got done creating a new background for my site. You know, the look and feel of a site is so important! I know personally I’ve gone to certain sites and left immediately because the site looks like the Hollywood equivalent of Gary Busey (scary, shudders). The content of a site is important don’t [...]

When my Facebook page reached 100 fans I offered to illustrate anything for the first person to respond to my post, and Holly was the first! She asked me to illustrate her two kids Gauge and Zoe. Here it is! The first drawing wasn’t my favorite, and Holly wanted to put it up on a [...]

If you didn’t get a chance to see the Traverse City Toxic Cherry Roller Derby girls play this past season you missed out! Roller Derby is back! And with vengeance. I had never been to a game before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But as the game went along I began to learn [...]

Traverse City is an amazing place to live. Some people refer to it as paradise. You have water, beautiful beaches and great people. It makes for a lot of fun community driven events and projects. This time around was the Traverse City lip dub. They just completed filming today and I got a chance to [...]

I wasn’t always a fan of Harry Potter. But then the movies came out, and I was sold. Imagination, adventure and magic, sign me up! Seeing how the new movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2 is coming out in the near future, I thought I would illustrate Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron [...]

Well, it’s taken me a few days but I finally finished a portrait I’ve been working on. My sister and brother in law are far away from home and I haven’t seen them in a while. She sent me a gift the other day, and always sends us postcards from her many travels, so I [...]

Today is the start of Smart Commute Week here in Traverse City. And the Planeteers and I thought we would kick it off with a bang! Captain Planet style! If this video doesn’t inspire you to save the planet I don’t know what will! Here is a group shot of everyone involved in the making [...]

Light painting is so much fun! That is, if you enjoy spending time in terrifyingly dark places, being yelled at and chased by security guards and taking hundreds of photos to get only seconds of film. Seriously, I had a security guard tell me the mall was trademarked and I couldn’t take pictures of it! [...]

I dug up some of my comic book drawings, from about 100 years ago, and thought I would share them with everybody. You will probably notice that Wolverine was my favorite comic book character. The rest of the X-men were right after that. It’s a nostalgic feeling seeing all my favorite childhood comic book characters [...]

You know what tilt-shift photography is. It’s where everything looks like it’s a miniature, or a scaled down model of itself. I’ve seen this used in photography and film more and more lately, so I wanted to show you some of my own tilt-shift photography. Let’s take a look! These are some pictures I took [...]

I’ve been working on a new project, and this time I wanted to create something with a strong perspective. I could only work on it a little bit each week, so it took me a lot longer than I wanted it to, but in the end I think it turned out pretty nice. Take a [...]

Remember when MTV used to stand for music television? Well, who knows what it stands for anymore (maybe gym, tan, laundry?) but I always remember how MTV had the coolest designs and creative art. I remember watching the spring break episodes that taught me exactly what not to do on spring break, and with it [...]

Hello there! So Nike has this section on its site where you can design your own shoe. It’s called NikeID. Here’s my shoe, along with a little somethn’ somethn’ to add to the decor. There’s a lot of textures, masking and styling going on in this design, so I recommend opening up the image as large as you can to view the intricacies.
